On the week of the high level meetings of the 76th session of the General Assembly, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, and the Albanian delegation, followed by the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi and the Albanian Ambassador to the UN, Besiana Kadare, met with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
Minister Xhaçka emphasized that Albania strongly believes in the role of multilateral diplomacy, while expressing the readiness to cooperate with Guterres to advance the common priorities during Albania's mandate in the Security Council.
