Albania-Greece Business Forum and B2B meetings

The Albania-Greece Business Forum was successfully held with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Athens, the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), Enterprise Greece as well as the relevant delegations of entrepreneurs from both countries.

This activity of special interest for bilateral economic and trade relations was welcomed by the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Albania, Mrs. Delina Ibrahimaj, the Minister of Development and Investments of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Megi Fino and the Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Mr. Kostas Fragkogiannis, who, in their speeches highlighted the deep historical strategic ties between the two neighboring countries, the strategic partnership, as well as the necessity for the further strengthening of economic-commercial relations. In this context, concrete plans have been proposed on mutual visits at the political level and business missions.

The Chairman of AIDA, Mr. Nikolin Jaka and the Chairman of ACCI, Mrs. Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou both encouraged business representatives to increase commercial interest in their respective markets.

A presentation on the favorable factors for investments and the relevant legislation was carried out by the Director of Investments of AIDA, Mrs. Mileva Meksi and the Director of the Investment Promotion Industry, Logistics, Technology and Innovation of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Elias Eliades.

Within this Forum, two Memorandums of Understanding were signed between:

• Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, by the respective Presidents Mr. Nikolin Jaka and Mrs. Sophia Efraimoglou Kounenakis
• Investment Agencies, AIDA-Enterprise Greece, respectively from. Mr. Sokol Nano, Executive Director of AIDA and Mr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO, Enterprise Greece

At the end of the Conference, B2B meetings were held between Albanian and Greek entrepreneurs from a wide range of fields of activity.

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens in cooperation and coordination with the relevant public institutions of the two countries, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Tirana and Athens, the Investment Development Agencies AIDA and Enterprise Greece, expresses its pleasure for the successful realization of this Forum, which brings back into focus the necessity of high regional cooperation in general and between our two countries in particular, as well as the role of economic diplomacy as a catalyst of development.
