The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, recalled with great honor, the 73rd anniversary of the foundation of the largest political- military alliance, NATO.
Minister Xhaçka expressed pride that Albania is a trusted member of NATO, which gives a contribution that goes beyond what a small country like Albania can offer. Whether that is to guarantee regional stability or security.
According to her, same as 73 years ago, NATO continues to guarantee the collective security of the Euro-Atlantic space and the democratic world.
Chief diplomat Xhaçka pointed out that today, NATO is more relevant than ever. It’s members are more united than ever in the face of security challenges and threats such as those coming from the illegal Russian aggression in Ukraine.
In honor of this anniversary, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has displayed the NATO logo and colors on it’s exterior.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also known as the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 30 states, 28, which are in Europe and the other 2 are part of North America.
