Albania against amendment A/C.3/69/L.66 on the draft resolution A/C.3/69/L.51/Rev.1. "Moratorium on the use of the death penalty" - 21 November 2014

Madame Chair,

The amendment contained in document A/C.3/69/L.66 seeks to undermine the contents and purpose of the draft-resolution L.51/Rev.1 - "Moratorium on the use of the death penalty".

This amendment implies that the sponsors of this draft-resolution are in some way trying to interfere in how Countries decide to organise their legal and criminal systems. This is simply not the case.
