​#ReadAlbanian: Unique emotions, returning to the past & navigating to the future through books

On November 30, 2019, in the premises of the Albanian Embassy in Warsaw was organized the event #ReadAlbanian, with the participation of representatives of the Albanian community, the President of the Polish-Albanian Association and translator of Albanian author Ismail Kadare into Polish, Dorota Horodyska; the Assistant Professor at the Center for Eastern European Studies, at the University of Warsaw, Mr. Rigels Halili, Polish students studying Albanian in Torun, etc. The event was aimed at fostering the love for the books, for the beautiful Albanian literature, for reading in Albanian, etc. Among the authors selected for this event were Naim Frasheri with "Fjalët e Qiririt"; Andon Zako Cajupi with "Mëmëdheu" and "Fshati im"; Gjergj Fishta “Atdheut”; Ndre Mjeda's "Andrrat e jetës" and "Vaji i bylbylit"; Fan Noli's "Anës lumenjve"; Migjeni, "Kanga e Rinisë" and "Recital i Malsorit"; Lasgush Poradeci with the poem "Dremit liqeri"; Ali Asllani, "Hanko Halla"; Musine Kokalari, excerpt from "Siç më thotë nënua plakë"; Ismail Kadare, "Të huaj jemi", "Tetor", "Kristal", "Mall" and "Koha e pamjaftueshme", etc.; Dritëro Agolli, excerpt from "Shkëlqimi dhe rënia e Shokut Zylo"; Ali Podrimja, "Ankthi", "Mëngjesi" and "Paris vendlindja"; Eqrem Basha, "Trokitjet e zemrës"; Frederick Rrepshnja; Luljeta Lleshanaku, "Kur dashuria jep një shenjë" and "Ndërgjegje e gjymtuar"; Arian Leka, "I lindur në Provincë" and "Në kërkim të këmishës së humbur" and Olga Tokarczuk, Polish Nobel Prize winner 2018 with story, "Crib in Bardo", etc. The event was an unique emotion giving the feeling of returning to the past and navigating to the future through books.
