The Mayor of Tirana, Mr. Erion Veliaj additional to his participation at the International Water Conference in Amsterdam, held several meetings at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Ministry of Economy and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Furthermore, Mr. Veliaj held a lecture at the Erasmus Rotterdam University where he discussed how can the Western countries promote and be the drive towards the EU integration.
To this end, Mr. Veliaj presented the transformation of the Tirana, the capital of Albania, in the last two years and offered his vision for the future - in particular the realisation of the Skanderbeg Square project, the Tirana Boulevard, the New Bazaar and the large playground near the Artificial Lake of Tirana. Moreover the Mr. Veliaj acquainted the participants with the Municipal plan for a free economic area near Kashari, in the south of Tirana, stressing the importance of the free economic area for foreign investments in Albania.
Alina Fejzo, Albanian dancer working and living in Rotterdam, was another highlight of the event of Monday 30 October, 2017. 
She performed in the field of modern dance and was accompanied by the applause of the audience. As Mr. Martin Sobota stated upon the end of her performance: 'Sometimes we forget how many talents come from such a small country like Albania'.
