Nineteenth Assembly of State Parties to the Rome Statute - International Criminal Court


On December 14-16, 2020, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in The Hague participates in the proceedings of the nineteenth session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). As a State Party, the Republic of Albania supports the reforms undertaken by the Court, in order to enhance efficiency, further the fight against international crimes, and offer full protection and justice to the victims.

The 25th Conference of States Parties to the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)


On November 30 and December 1, the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Albania in the Netherlands participated in the 25th session of the Conference of the States Parties in the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). During the proceedings of the Conference, the budget of the organization for 2021 was approved, among other items.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions this year, Albania remains committed to strengthening the universality of the  destruction of chemical weapons worldwide #CSP25

50 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Albania and the Kingdom of the Netherlands


50 years ago, on November 18, 1970, diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Albania and The Kingdom of The Netherlands. On such a date it is worth making a retrospective of the event, to understand how this important diplomatic process in the relations between the two countries was finalized.



Since 18 March 2020, and for the duration of at least three weeks (until April 6th) the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands advises against all non-essential travel worldwide.
