Xhaçka meets Albania's representative team in the Security Council: A unique opportunity to promote the interests of Albanians globally

During her visit to the USA, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held a meeting with the team that will represent Albania in the Security Council.
Minister Xhaçka mentioned that the mandate in the Security Council will give Albania the opportunity to be heard and to contribute to the most important platform of global politics.
 

Xhaçka at the OSCE Ministerial: Open Balkans, an effective tool for cooperation and dialogue in the region

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, chaired the session of the OSCE Ministerial Council held in Sweden, in the capacity of the leading troika of this organization for the years 2019-2021.
Minister Xhaçka described the 'Open Balkans' initiative as an effective tool to combat the growing insecurity and instability in the OSCE area.
According to her, co-operation and dialogue are the only way to end conflicts and pave the way for negotiations.

Xhaçka at the NATO Ministerial: The Western Balkans, a concrete example of multilateral engagement

Preceding the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting in Latvia this year, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the forum entitled "NATO Perspective towards 2030 and beyond”.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg were also part of the Ministerial.
Minister Xhaçka emphasized that the Strategic Concept of 2022, with a focus on unity, solidarity and common values, is the only solution to the ongoing hybrid threats that the world is facing.

Xhaçka at the high-level conference: The role and rights of women, the main priority in the UN Security Council

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the high-level conference “The future of women, peace and security in Albania” organized by the OSCE Presence in Tirana.
Minister Xhaçka stressed that Albania has made great progress in increasing the inclusion of the role of women in various fields, while presenting some statistics on this issue.

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, received in a meeting the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Wang Yi, during his visit to Albania on October 29, 2021, as part of a regional tour.
The visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of  People’s Republic of China return to the UN, for which State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi underlined Albania's special contribution and conveyed thankfulness and gratitude of the Chinese government and its people.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held a meeting with the Minister of the United Kingdom for Europe, Wendy Morton. The focus of the discussions was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with a focus on economic and trade relations, as well as the commitment  to cooperate on priorities at the UN Security Council.
Minister Xhaçka stressed that the United Kingdom is an important friend of Albania and an ally of the Western Balkans.

Minister Xhaçka meets OSCE Chairperson-in-Office: EU should reflect, visible progress in the region should not be neglected

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, received in a meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Ann Linde, who visited Albania in her capacity as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
Minister Xhaçka praised the Swedish Presidency of the OSCE in leading the organization and for the support shown to Albania and the countries of the Western Balkans, for fulfilling important reforms.

Discussion regarding the situation in Afghanistan, Xhaçka: Albania supports the work of the UN in the Assistance Mission in Afghanistan

In the framework of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the discussion on the situation in Afghanistan organized by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Peace Institute.
Minister Xhaçka said that Albania has shown its commitment to the citizens of Afghanistan, being the first country to offer shelter to refugees.
She emphasized that as a member of the Security Council, Albania will strongly support the work of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan and the Afghan people.

High level meetings in New York, Xhaçka: Proud of Albania’s commitment to multilateralism and peace

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, attended the high level meeting of the 76th session of the UNGA in New York, in which was also present the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
Via a Facebook post, Minister Xhaçka expressed pride in Albania's commitment to multilateralism and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
