Foreign Minister Bushati pays working visit to Kosovo

Foreign Affairs Minister Ditmir Bushati paid a working visit to Kosovo upon invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj to attend the Conference of Ambassadors held in Pristina.
In his address to the ambassadors of Kosovo accredited around the world, Minister Bushati highlighted the excellent relations and brotherhood between Albania and Kosovo, particularly the advanced state of Strategic Partnership, which at the space-time between the three joint meetings of the two governments has further deepened and expanded including a comprehensive bilateral and regional cooperation as well as mutual interaction in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration.
He praised especially the latest achievements of Kosovo, with the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and signing of the Agreement that enables its participation in the EU programs. This is a new phase which serves the advancement of Kosovo’s European agenda, encouragement of reforms, promotion of trade and investments and strengthening of peace, stability and prosperity in Kosovo and the region.
On focus of Minister Bushati’s address was also the further coordination of our diplomatic activity in view of regional cooperation and Euro-Atlantic integration, including unwavering advocacy of Albania in support of the inclusion of Kosovo into all regional organizations and beyond, bringing it closer to the European Union and institutionalizing the cooperation with NATO.
During his stay in Pristina, Minister Bushati held a meeting with the Prime Minister Isa Mustafa. While referring to the last meeting of the two governments and the Joint Declaration signed by the two Prime Ministers, interlocutors dwelt on the work completed for the implementation of the signed agreements, improvement of the business climate and services, aiming at the unification of markets, consolidation of energy common space and infrastructure corridors, building bridges of understanding and of communication of knowledge and culture among Albanians.
Minister Bushati underlined the commitment and determination of Albania to promote the advancement of Kosovo in Euro-Atlantic structures and dwelt on coordinating efforts for the process of further recognition of Kosovo in the international arena and its membership into several multilateral organizations. Talks also focused on the situation and the latest developments in the region as well as on the special attention that both our countries place to these developments.
