Announcement!!! 30 May 2020. In an effort to facilitate the measures taken to curb the spread of Covid-19, it is now allowed for passengers, Albanian and foreigners, to enter and exit by means of transport at all border crossing points of the Republic of Albania. Also, the persons who will enter the territory of the Republic of Albania through land border points will not have the obligation of 14-day self-quarantine​, except in special cases determined by health authorities.

Acting Minister Cakaj welcomes his Hungarian counterpart


The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, welcomed the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, Pèter Szijjártó, in his official visit. The meeting, which took place in extraordinary circumstances and in strict security measures, due to the situation caused by COVID-19, focused on some very important issues.

Promotion of Tourism


Had a nice meeting today with Ms. Kisgyorgy Eva of, and Ms. Julianna Kovacs, the representative of the Albanian National Tourist Agency in Hungary. We discussed on Albania as an appealing destination for Hungarian tourists and on their growing interest to visit it. Ms. Kisgyorgy will visit Albania in May and will spend there two weeks. We wish her a very nice and pleasant trip.

Economic Diplomacy


It was a pleasure receiving today at our premises Mr. Péter Krupánszky, Co-Founder and CCO of SOLIN Energy Zrt. We focused on the energy sector in Albania, the trends of its development, the opportunities for investment in renewable energies, particularly in solar power plants. We look very much forward to continuing this cooperation.

Cooperation with Artists


The day after the charity concert for the affected by the earthquake of 26 November, we had the pleasure to receive at the premises of the Embassy the sopranos Alisa Katroshi and Olivia Latina. Along with them we shared the positive impressions of the event and talked about their plans in the future. Soon, on 14 February this year, they will perform again together in Budapest.

Solidarity Albania


On January 19, 2020, the Albanian Embassy in Budapest organized a charity concert at St. Francis Stigmata Church, with performances of the Albanian and Italian sopranos, respectively Alisa Katroshi and Olivia Latina, accompanied by organist Clara Jean (from Hungary). Members of the Albanian community living in Hungary, representatives of the diplomatic corps and Hungarian friends attended the concert. The artists performed a religious repertoire with pieces by Bach, Pergolesi, Caccini, Rossini, Dvorak, Bizet, Gounod and Verdi.



Along with lovers of classical music and colleagues of the Diplomatic Corps and Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest had the pleasure to attend a concerts of Alisa Katroshi (soprano), Yvette Mondok (soprano), Manuel Camino (bariton) and Szabolcs Sandor (pianist) at the Old Music Academy Chamber Hall in Budapest. The artists interpreted classical pieces of Liszt, Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, Mozart, Massenet and Grever. With her excellent interpretations, the Albanian soprano Alisa Katroshi won the hearts and the applause of the spectators. Special thanks go to the Director of the Academy, Ms.

Charity Concert


On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the creation of the Symphonia Foundation, the Hungarian MP, Mrs. Catalin Csöbör, organized a ceremony in the Parliament that brought together the First Lady, Mrs. Anita Herczegh, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Hungary, representatives of the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB), MPs, Foundation’s leaders, and children supported by this Foundation. This year, the Symphonia Foundation was selected by the DSB to be supported with part of the funds raised by the Diplomatic Fair. In her speech, Mrs.
