Albanian National Stall at the 2018 Diplomatic Fair


The 8th Diplomatic Fair took place today in Budapest. More than 50 diplomatic representations participated this year with their national and traditional products. This fair is a noble way to raise funds for children in need and with disabilities. Madam Anita Herczegh, spouse of President János Áder, visited the fair, and, at the stand of our Embassy we had the pleasure to show her the Albanian products exposed there. This fair was a good opportunity to promote #Albania and #Albanians through culture, traditions, products and artefacts.

106th Anniversary of Independence of Albania


On the occasion of the 106th Anniversary of Independence of Albania, the Embassy in Budapest hosted a reception attended by Hungarian friends, colleagues of the diplomatic corps, members of the Albanian community in Hungary and students from Albania and Kosovo studying in Budapest. In addition to the protocol aspect, the ceremony had also two artistic elements.

Albanian artists perform in Budapest


With her powerful vocal and superb interpretation of parts by Verdi and Puccini, the Albanian soprano Alisa Katroshi offered powerful emotions to the spectators of Anna Jokai Szalon in Budapest. She earned their strong applause making us feel proud of her. The world-class opera singer Sylvia Sass greatly appreciated Alisa's interpretation and expressed her hope to see Alisa play in the biggest scenes of Hungary. 'Security and Sovereignty in the 21st Century' International Conference


Kodolányi János University (KJU) and the Institute for Cultural Relations Policy (ICRP) organized the international conference Security and Sovereignty in the 21st Century. Global challenges and regional security, national security and defense policies, energy security, cross-border crime, counter-terrorism, immigration, etc. were some of the topics discussed during the conference. In its intervention Ambassador Spasse focused on the security challenges that Albania and the Western Balkan countries are currently facing.

Life and work of the prominent Hungarian Albanologist Baron Ferenc Nopcsa


At the premises of the Albanian Embassy in Budapest, the life and work of the prominent Hungarian Albanologist Baron Ferenc Nopcsa were commemorated through the promotion of Györgyi Gyurkovics's book "Baron Franc Nopcsa - The Hungarian King of Dragons". In his welcoming speech to the guests, Ambassador Spasse praised the work of Baron Nopcsa for the Albanian studies and quoting the scholar Moikom Zeqo, said that "Albania for Nopcsa is a Fata Morgana of his fantasy and creative power ... a fabulous country in the kingdom of ideas ... a Platonic idea of an endless and terrible loneliness...

Albanian artists in Budapest


The Albanian soprano Alisa Katroshi is in Budapest to perform at Jokai Anna Szalon. We had the pleasure of receiving her at the Embassy and discussing on her career and plans for the future. Thanks to her will and generosity, cooperation with the Albanian Embassy in Budapest will be included in her plans. Alisa Katroshi is a lyric spinto soprano. She started studying Canto at the age of 14 in the music conservatory and after at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tirana. Then she frequented the conservatory E.F. Dall’Abaco of Verona and finished studies there with excellent results.

Albania in Diplomatic Fair in Budapest


On 2 December, the Diplomatic Fair 2018 will take place at Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest. The fair takes place every year under the patronage of Mrs. Anita Herczegh, spouse of the President János Áder. The Embassy of Albania is planning to participate in the Fair and cordially invites all its friends in Budapest to visit it.

Cultural Cooperation


We had the pleasure to meet Mrs. Györgyi Gyurkovics, author of the book Báró Nopcsa Ferenc – Sárkanyok magyar királya (Baron Ferenc Nopcsa – the Hungarian king of dragons). We had an interesting conversation and discussed also on a promotion event at the Embassy. 6.11.2018

Economic Diplomacy


It was a pleasure receiving today at the Embassy Mr. József Dénes, President and CEO of the Hungarian company Pőyry, and Mr. Gábor Podonyi, Head of T&D Department. Discussion focused on the development opportunities of the energy sector in Albania and foreign investments. Ambassador Spasse invited Mr. Dénes and Mr. Podonyi to visit Albania and offered Embassy's help in establishing contacts and organizing meetings. 5.11.2018

Meeting with Investors


Ambassador Spasse had the opportunity to visit the Zollner Elektronik plant in Vác. It was very interesting to see the high tech instruments, the state of art administration, German - Hungarian discipline and the myriad of products.
