The representatives of Albania made a very good presentation on the second day of 3rd Global Sustainable Fashion Week, taking place in Budapest. In its opening speech Ambassador Spasse identified some elements in common between diplomacy and fashion and introduced to the audience the President of “Tradita Popullore” Foundation, Mrs. Edlira Sulaj. She talked about traditional techniques used for the production of national costumes, involvement of young people in this process, as well as engagement of people with disabilities in designing and production.

Promotion of Tourism

Ambasador Spasse met with representatives of Albanian tour operators present in the fair on tourism taking place at Hungexpo in Budapest.
Albania Property Group, In Tours Albania and Albania Holidays are present at the fair promoting Albania as a tourist destination along with their Hungarian partners like TS Tours, Robinson Tours, etc.

Economic Cooperation

Ms. Zsuzsanna Gál and Ms. Nancy Jin of CECZ (Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone) visited the Albanian Embassy to discuss on the participation of Albanian export companies, to the China Smart Expo. The event will take place in Budapest for the 8th consecutive year, from 31st May till 2nd June 2018. Nearly 300 Chinese companies, selected and authorized by the departments of commerce of different provinces, will be present in the expo.

Albanian-Hungarian Economic Forum

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Budapest and the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) organized an Albanian-Hungarian economic forum, materializing this way a proposal of the Albanian Association of Professional Business and Artisan Women (SHGPAZ). Members of SHGPAZ, representatives of the Business and Professional Women's Association in Budapest, members of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc. attended the forum.

Albanian Studies Program in ELTE

Ambassador Spasse informed today Prof. Dr. Borhy László, Rector of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Hungary on the decision of the Albanian authorities to renew the agreement on the Program Albanian Studies, expected to start in Sptember 2018.
