Albania in Diplomatic Fair 2019- Soprano Alisa Katroshi open the Fair

Upon entering the InterContinental Hotel, the Patron of the Fair, Mrs. Anita Herczegh, Spouse of the President of Republic was greeted with the famous Hungarian song Tavaszi szél (Spring Wind), performed by the Albanian soprano Alisa Katroshi. Thanks Alisa!

Albania in Diplomatic Fair 2019 with "Tradita Popullore Edlira"

The Albanian contribution to the Diplomatic Fair in Budapest had also its artistic elements - modern and traditional ones. TRADITA POPULAR Foundation, represented by Ms. Edlira Sulaj, dressed up some of the representatives of the Albanian team at the Fair with traditional costumes, exhibited a large number of artistic handicrafts on the stand, and donated an Albanian costume in miniature to the large raffle organized during the Fair to raise money. Present in our stand was also Artan Bilani of Souvenir Parruca. Thank you Edlira and Artan.

Under the auspices and organization of the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB) and under the patronage of Mrs. Anita Herczegh, spouse of the President of Hungary, the Diplomatic Fair in Budapest took place for the ninth year in a row. Mrs. Elda Spasse, in her capacity of President of DSB, opened the Fair with a speech outlining the objectives and goals of this event. Nine years ago, Professor István Schütz, a Hungarian Albanologist was passing away. By pure chance, today, nine years later, we had the pleasure to receive at the Embassy his son, Gergely, and discuss with him on his father's life. A very interesting one and worthy of being screened. Lots of studies waiting to be published and, among them, a Hungarian - Albanian dictionary with nearly 80 thousand words and expressions.

Promoting Albania

Following an initiative of Prof. Peter Kraft, Ambassador Spasse had a meeting with students of ESSCA School of Management in Budapest. The meeting started with a video presentation on how Albania is perceived by foreigners and what's the reality on the ground. In his lecture the Ambassador emphasized the endeavors of the country on its path towards EU integration and answered the questions on Albania and on the diplomatic activity of an ambassador.

Promotion of Tourism

Robinson Tours is one of the tour agencies in Budapest that has been organizing tours with Hungarian tourists in Albania for five consecutive years. Second Secretary Mr. Kurtulaj held a meeting with the General Director of the Agency, Mr. Aron Jakocs, to discuss on the last tourist season in Albania and the possibilities for cooperation during the upcoming season. The ways to boost Albania's promotion as a tourist destination in Hungary were also part of the discussion.
