Visit of Minister Szijjártó in Tirana- Meeting with the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Kushi


The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Evis Kushi received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Szijjártó Péter.
During the meeting, the two ministers signed the Cooperation Agreement between Albania and Hungary for the program "Stipendium Hungaricum" 2021-2024, thanks to which every year 20 Albanian students will have scholarships from the Hungarian government to study in their country.
During the meeting they also talked about the very good tradition of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education, culture and science.

Visit of Minister Szijjártó in Tirana- Meeting with President Meta


The President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Peter Szijjarto. During the meeting they discussed on the recent developments in Albania, as well as on its progress towards European integration. President Meta thanked Minister Szijjártó for the support of Hungary on the European integration processes of Albania and the Western Balkans as a whole, as well as for the assistance and support of his country in the framework of V4 and V4-WB6.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, received the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Peter Szijjarto, who paid an official visit to Tirana. The conversation focused on political, economic, cultural relations, as well as on Albania's progress and challenges in the integration process. Minister Szijjarto reconfirmed Hungary's support for Albania in its path towards EU, and also talked about the interest of some Hungarian companies to invest in the country.

Honoring the Albanian National Hero Skanderbeg 17 January 2021


After leading the Albanian resistance against the expansion of the Ottoman Empire for almost 25 years, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg passed away on January 17th, 1468. He was able to unite the Albanian nobles under his leadership, declare his policy of war and successfully oppose the Ottoman armies on the battlefield and in diplomacy. In honor of our national hero, Ambassador Spasse, Honorary Consul, Mr. Avni Hafuzi, and the Deputy Mayor of Eger, Mr. Mátyás Berecz, laid wreaths in the town square named after Skanderbeg.

They bring an atmosphere of optimism and liveliness in the autumn landscape of the city, as well as a desire to plan your next vacation.

In an effort to materialize a project related to Independence Day, Ambassador Spasse received the lyric soprano Alisa Katroshi at the premises of the Albanian Embassy in Budapest. Despite the consequences to the artistic events caused by the pandemic, the Albanian artist continues to be active with her classical repertoire. Recently, she was elected member of the jury of Music and Stars Awards, an online classical music competition opened to all the countries in the world.

Economic Diplomacy


In the framework of Economic Diplomacy, Ambassador Spasse and First Secretary Qorri met with Mr. István Joó, Deputy Secretary of State for Export Development at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The conversation focused on the topic of economic cooperation between the two countries and more specifically on attracting Hungarian investors to Albania. As a success story in this direction, Hungary can provide a model to follow.
