Ambassador Spasse along with the Honorary Consul of Albania, Mr. Avni Hafuzi, met on 07 February 2017, the Mayor of Pecs, Mr. Zsolt Páva. Establishment of sustainable relations between the cities of Berat and Pecs in the areas of culture and business, finalized with a twining memorandum, was the main topic of the meeting.

During the visit to Eger Ambassador Spasse and the Honorary Consul, Mr. Hafuzi, met the Mayor of the city, Mr. László Habis. They focused on establishing twinning relations between the cities of Kruja and Eger, and on placing a statue of Scanderbeg in the square holding its name.​

Commemorated the 549th anniversary of the death of the Albanians' National Hero Skanderbeg in Eger city

On 17 January 2017, Ambassador Spasse and the Honorary Consul, Mr. Avni Hafuzi, commemorated the 549th anniversary of the death of the Albanians' National Hero George Kastrioti, known as Skanderbeg in Eger City. In their address Mr. Hafuzi recalled the historical links between the two people, the lecturer Etleva Lala spoke on Skanderbeg's symbolism and Ambassador Spasse described it as a personality that unites Albanians and as a symbol of the Albanian-Hungarian friendship. Representatives of the Albanian community living in Hungary attended the ceremony.

On 6 December, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Hungary, Mr. Avni Hafuzi, opened its office in the city of Pecs. In the ceremony organized participated the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Halil Hyseni, the Ambassador of Albania, Mr.Arian Spasse, the Mayor of the city of Pecs's, Mr. Zsolt Páva, representatives from the embassies of Kosovo and Croatia in Budapest, citizens of Pecs, and representatives of the Albanian community both in Budapest and Pecs.
