Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, participates in the Warsaw Ministerial “Promoting the Future of Peace and Security for the Middle East”

Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, is in Poland, participating in the Warsaw Ministerial “Promoting the Future of Peace and Security for the Middle East”, co-organized by Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The Warsaw Ministerial, which is being held for the first time, focuses on exchanging views, attitudes and ideas on the unstable situation that has existed for decades in the Middle East region, without leaving out of the spotlight the new projects to address the problems and open a new development road in this region.

Foreign ministers and senior representatives of over 70 ministerial participating countries focused on reviewing the many dimensions associated with the multi-year conflict in the Middle East such as: terrorist risk and its financing, civil conflicts and humanitarian crises, while at the same time emphasizing the need to promote good coexistence and good neighborliness.

This Ministerial once again pointed out that achieving peace, strengthening stability and improving the welfare of populations living in this region requires above all not just political will, but also a common global action to build peace and stability in the Middle East.
