Copenhagen, exhibition of traditional Albanian national costumes / 16.06.2012

In the framework of the planned activities on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Independence, on May 15, 2012 , the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Copenhagen opened an exihibition of traditional national costumes in Frederiksberg City Hall.

The traditional costumes exposed in the exhibition belonged to different Albanian territories, from Kosova to Çamëri, as well as to Arbëreshë from Italy and to the Greek minority in Albania.

The guests, representatives of diplomatic corps, senior Danish authorities, Danish friends and fans of Albania, representatives of the Albanian-Danish associations, albanians living in Denmark, were welcomed by the chargé d’affairs a.i., First Secretary of the Embassy, Ms. Aida Sakja.The opening of this exhibition was greeted by Ms. Linda Ihsan, diplomatic adviser to the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Josefina Topalli, under whose auspices the exhibition is travelling not only in different cities of Albanian lands, but also in different cities of the world.

"This exhibition, under the auspices of the Speaker of Parliament of Albania in cooperation with the Embassy of Albania in Copenhagen, through its diversity and cheerful colors, brings the image of a Mediterranean sunny country, with an old history and hospitable people. We belong to Europe by identity and vocation, "said Ms. Ihsani.
