Berat, Gjirokastra and Butrint as part of the UNESCO heritage reflect best the cultural and historical heritage of Albania. Berat represents a unique architectural style, influenced by several civilizations and is otherwise known as the "city of a thousand windows" and resembles the city of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria. In Berat you can find a number of historical attractions. Gjirokastra or otherwise the "stone city" of the well-known Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare offers many opportunities to explore and get lost in the past, where you can find artillery and relics of the communist resistance against the German occupation. Meanwhile, Butrint National Park demonstrates the importance of conserving it being home to over 1,200 different species of animals and plant varieties. Due to its international natural, archaeological and cultural importance, the Park is under the protection of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, UNESCO and the Ramsar Convention.
Dafina and Grama Bay, the Adriatic Sea and the Albanian Riviera will make you want to travel to Albania as soon as possible and enjoy a few days of rest there. The exhibition reflects the long Albanian coastline filled with traditional villages hidden in secluded bays, sandy and rocky beaches, sea caves, steep cliffs and bays. There are many reasons to explore the magnificent Albanian coastline starting from the north to the south, to the Albanian pearl called the Albanian Riviera, with its golden beaches and turquoise waters.
