The exhibition "Beautiful Albania" brings Albania to the Bulgarian public on November 16-30, 2020

The exhibition "Beautiful Albania" was opened on November 16 in Gradska Gradina Park in the center of Sofia by the Albanian Embassy in Sofia in cooperation with the Municipality of Sofia and the Albanian Tourism Agency. The exhibition is part of the celebrations for the National Day of Albania on November 28th and will remain open for the public until the end of November. Through 28 photos, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a part of the history, culture, heritage and natural beauties of Albania.
 

Sofia Summit: European Perspective on the Western Balkans Means Stability, Peace and Prosperity

Sofia Summit took place on 10 of November 2020, in the framework of the Berlin Process, bringing together the leaders of the Western Balkan countries and supporters of the initiative, representatives of EU institutions, representatives of the Regional Cooperation Council, CEFTA, OECD, European Bank of Investment, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank and the Regional Center for Youth Cooperation (RYCO).

At the end of his official visit to Bulgaria, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, held a meeting with members of the Bulgaria-Albania Friendship Group at the Bulgarian National Assembly.
 
Cooperation on joint infrastructure projects, the establishment of student support programs and further political and technical support on the European path have been the main topics of discussion.
 
The Acting Foreign Minister Cakaj has confirmed the commitment of Albania in meeting the conditions for a faster European integration.

Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Tourism signed

During his official visit to Bulgaria, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policies and the Minister of Tourism, Mariyana Nikolova.
 
The Minister`s meeting was focused on identifying further steps for cooperation in the field of tourism, underlining the importance of partnership in the field of infrastructure. According to the Ministers, cooperation in the field of tourism implies wider cooperation, including other sectors.
 

European integration is a major project for Albania

The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj held a meeting with Vice President Iliana Yotova to discuss Albania's European integration, bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
 
Acting Foreign Minister Cakaj stressed that the European integration of Albania is a major project and that Albania is committed to achieving the final result by highlighting the work done in meeting the conditions.
 
Also, the Acting Foreign Minister Cakaj expressed the commitment of Albania in guaranteeing the rights of national minorities.

Unwavering support from Bulgaria for Albania's European path

The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj paid a two-days official visit to Bulgaria. In the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Judical Reform and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva, the unwavering support of Bulgaria in the European path of Albania was underlined. The Ministers emphasized the steady progress made by Albania, calling for further reforms.

Open call for Albanian scholarship for Bulgarian students of Albanian origin

With the Decision no.686, dated 02.09.2020, the Council of Ministers has decided to grant 2 scholarships for the academic year 2020-2021 for Bulgarian students of Albanian origin. The scholarship includes financial coverage for the tuition fee, learning the Albanian language in the first year of studies as well as accommodation and food expenses for the duration of the academic year.
 
The requirement for the scholarship are:
 
1. have completed secondary education with a general average above 8 (eight) or equivalent;
